Backstage goes to Hollywood.
Paramount Pictures chooses the Modena agency for the Italian market.
Backstage and Paramount Pictures have recently signed a deal for the rights of the Paramount Pictures portfolio which includes the iconic back catalogue with cult movies that represent the history of cinema and a fantastic line-up of new releases.In the past 90 years of activities, Paramount Pictures has produced and distributed unforgettable movies. Paramount movies are considered real icons in the history of cinema and some of them have become culture phenomenon that influenced the imaginary of many generations.
Starting in the fifties and sixties, it was the glamour of Audrey Hepburn starring in “Roman Holiday”, “Sabrina” and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and Grace Kelly featured in “Rear Window” and “To Catch a Thief” by Hitchcock. In the seventies, just to name few classics, “The Godfather”, “Grease” and “The Warriors”. In the eighties ‘pop’ icons such as “Flashdance”, “Footlose” and “Top Gun”.
Paramount is a synonym of cinema, from western (“High Noon”, “Once Upon a Time in The West”), to comedy (“Airplane”, “Zoolander”), without ignoring action movies (“Mission Impossible” or Tom Clancy’s movies like “The Hunt for Red October” and “Patriot Games”).
As Stefania Perletto, Backstage Licensing Director, puts it «We are thrilled to know that such a prestigious company has believed in our knowledge and competence. It is a double win for us. Our portfolio has drastically improved with an incredible creative patrimony but it is also testament of our commitment and hard work towards making Backstage a real player in the Brand Licensing field.»
Starting from the logos and all related graphic material, Backstage goal is to build a communication and licensing campaign capable of capturing the spirit of each and every titles through Brand Extension initiatives.

As far as the new releases are concerned, the remake of “Footlose” is already in production and due to be launched in summer 2010. “Rango”, an animation movie out in Spring 2010 and finally there is great anticipation for the Steven Spielberg movie of “The Adventures of TinTin: The Secret of The Unicorn” in cinema in Autumn 2011.
